The Nephrology Department handles diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract, and diagnosis and treatment of various electrolyte imbalances (sodium, potassium, etc.), abnormalities, hematuria, proteinuria, edema (glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, etc.), progressive kidney diseases (chronic renal failure), diabetic nephropathy, acute renal failure (toxic nephropathy by drugs and toxic substances, etc.), urinary tract infections, interstitial nephritis, and renovascular renal parenchymal hypertension. An artificial kidney room is operated to treat acute/chronic renal failure. Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are provided, as well as lifestyle behavior modification for renal failure patients, dietary therapy education, and long-term treatment planning counseling.
